Allied Indigenous Management Approach

Indigenous Management System (IMS)

Allied Group’s accredited indigenous management system (IMS) underpins all aspects of the Allied business, combining functions relating to the quality of the service, work health and safety standards, and environmental management.

Our IMS is designed to support and continuously improve our integrated services model, in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and to the applicable standards.

ISO 9001: 2015: Through this standard, we have specified requirements for a quality management system that demonstrate our ability to consistently provide services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. We aim to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to the customer.

ISO 45001:2018

This, as an international standard, documents the requirement for a health and safety management system and supports our striving towards zero accidents. This standard assists us in controlling operational hazards and risks while improving our reputation. With this standard, we have organized how workplace health & safety (WHS) is managed through a proactive and systematic approach.

RECONCILIATION ACTION PLAN (RAP)

At its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

Allied Indigenous Management recognizes and pays respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their ancestors, and the Elders past, present, and future from the different First Nations across this country. We also acknowledge the importance of connection to land, culture, spirituality, ancestry, family, and community for the well-being of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.

Allied Integrated Management is already in the process of developing its first formal ‘Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). This is an exciting milestone for Allied, starting our reconciliation journey.

Our vision of reconciliation is based on and measured on five dimensions: historical acceptance, race relations, equality and equity, institutional integrity, and unity.

This reconciliation action plan will be part of our commitment to an Australia that values, recognizes, respects, and celebrates the diversity and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritage. We are committed to learning from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and cultures and to developing a strong partnership and relationship with the community.

Allied Indigenous Management Approach

COMMITMENT TO MODERN SLAVERY

Allied Indigenous Management is committed to commencing taking the following steps:

  • Allocate resources and set up an internal multidisciplinary team to consider these issues—this may include employees from operations, procurement, and/or human resources.
  • Map and assess their existing (and any upcoming) supply chains.
  • Undertake a risk management approach to initially assess where modern slavery risks may arise in those supply chains.
  • Act to minimize or completely remove those risks.
  • Revise current supplier terms and policies to cover these new obligations.
  • Revise current employee codes of conduct and policies to address modern slavery issues and provide training to employees on modern slavery risks.
  • Create a due diligence framework to continually monitor risks both internally and within those supply chains and to look for markers of potential modern slavery—those markers may range from the unlawful withholding of wages and identity/travel documents to excessive work hours and restrictions on individual movement.
  • Make sure supply chain participants are aware of these obligations.

Allied Indigenous Management aims to achieve these obligations and create a point of difference in the market when compared to competitors.
